Charles Ta is an illustrator, cartoonist, and pixel animator based in New Jersey. He is a graduate of the New School's BAFA program, with a BFA in Illustration from Parsons School of Design, a BA in Writing from Eugene Lang College, and a minor in Psychology.
Charles has created cartoons and illustrations both for himself and other clients, including promotional artwork for Robert Blake Whitehill's Ben Blackshaw thriller action series.
He works in a variety of styles from realistic to cartoonish, exploring how topics like science fiction, philosophy, politics, psychology, social justice, and environmentalism intersect and inform one another in his art. His most current project is a personal environmentalist mythology of sorts based on the history of life on Earth, but also inspired by ideas such as James Lovelock's Gaia theory.
When not working on his art (or creating stories), Charles can usually be found teaching students during the day, or immersed in a good book.
